Library Cards
Library cards may be obtained in person at the Library Circulation Desk. The Tecumseh District Library issues Resident and Non-Resident library cards to all patrons depending on the following criteria:

Resident Card

The Tecumseh District Library is pleased to serve residents within the Tecumseh Public School District Boundaries, specifically the City of Tecumseh and portions of Adrian, Franklin, Macon, Raisin, Ridgeway and Tecumseh townships.

Residents of these communities must complete a registration form and present proof of residence to receive a Tecumseh District Library card. Staff members routinely verify address locations with the Lenawee County Equalization Office.

A Resident library card is valid for two years.

Non-Resident Card

Patrons residing outside the Tecumseh District Library service area may obtain a Non-Resident library card at a rate determined by the Tecumseh District Library Board of Trustees.

The current price of a Non-Resident card is $50.00 annually.

A Non-Resident library card is valid for one year.

Cards for Minors
Youth under the age of 18 will be issued their own Resident or Non-Resident library card when the parent or legal guardian provides proof of current address, signs a registration form and assumes all financial obligation.

Access to the youth's borrowing record will only be provided if a release form is signed by the parent or guardian.

Special Borrowers

Patrons who own property within the Tecumseh District Library service area or who are employed by a business residing within the service area may inquire about these special circumstances at the Circulation Desk.
