Remember, in order for us to have a successful sale we need your "gently used" books. 
All proceeds from our sales are applied directly to the needs of the Library or towards their programs.


UPCOMING MEETINGS

The regular meetings of the Friends of the Tecumseh District Library are held the second Monday of each month at 6:30pm at the Library.

February's meeting will be held 2/13/2010

Thursday February 9 from 1:00pm – 3:30pm

At the Library in Meeting Room B

Friends will provide playing cards, score cards, and format of play.

Everyone welcome – all levels of experience!

 

 



YOU’RE INVITED TO JOIN THE FRIENDS GROUP

As a member of the Friends of the Tecumseh District Library you will have the opportunity to share your enthusiasm for books and the services our library offers. Our combined ideas, talents, and time can help support and promote the continued growth of the library and its services throughout the community.

The Friends of the Tecumseh District Library is a nonprofit organization. Membership funds are used to support the needs of the library, as well as our own programs. These programs appeal to many segments of our community.
Many libraries throughout the United States have Friends groups actively supporting them. Through Friends' efforts to create awareness and appreciation of library services, libraries are stengthened and communities are better served.
Friends' activites can range from fund raising to landscaping to arranging speakers and programs. The past two years have been very exciting as you can tell by the accomplishments and events listed below:

In addition to the events listed above Friends:
  • Supported the library renovation with a donation of $10,000, which was applied towards the purchase of new computers
  • Maintain the "Corner Bookshoppe" which offers used books for sale during library hours of operation
  • Hold first Saturday of the month used book sales to raise funds for the library
  • Members donate their time when needed for many of the programs the library offers


 
GET TO KNOW YOUR FRIENDS
 
On Thursday afternoons at 1:00pm Friends members gather in the lower level of the Library to sort books that have been donated by the community. Please feel free to join us.
