A History of Carnegie Libraries in Michigan

Throughout the early 20th century, dozens of Michigan communities constructed public libraries through funding provided nationwide by industrialist Andrew Carnegie. Learn from Adam Oster of the Library of Michigan about the history of the Carnegie library program and its impact in Michigan communities. See examples of Michigan Carnegie Libraries, including many who continue to serve their communities today.

True Crime Lecture

Saturday, October 3, 2026 | 2 PM

Join us as we celebrate poetry month with local poet Linda White, as she performers some of her poetry she has compiled over her life. Afterwards, we will open the floor for anyone who would like to share their own poetry (even if only a small piece!). Whether you are an aspiring poet or simply wish to stop by and listen, all are welcome to enjoy the beauty of the written word!
